The Installers Directory

Engineer-vetted, and capped at three firms per category in each postcode district. You contact them; they can never contact you.

In active development · applications open now · full launch 30 November

How the Directory works

Six rules that don't move

  1. Capped at three. No more than three firms per category in each postcode district. When a district is full, the next firm waits. No auction, and no paying to jump the queue.
  2. Checked before listing. Every firm is checked against Companies House, the official registers, its insurance and how it protects your deposit before it appears. Anything that doesn't check out goes to Darren, an Engineer, who decides.
  3. You contact them. They can never contact you through us, and we never tell a firm who has looked at its listing.
  4. Your details stay yours. We never pass your details, your quote or your report to any firm.
  5. A Red stays Red. A listed firm's quote is checked like anyone else's. Nobody can pay for a verdict, and each firm's quote-check record is shown on its listing.
  6. Not a guarantee. A listing shows what we checked, and when. It doesn't guarantee a firm's work. You always choose for yourself.

Money buys visibility, never a verdict.

  • Never paid by installers for verdicts
  • We never pass your details to anyone
  • No cold calls
  • No adverts or badges on listings

The Directory is how we earn. How we make money

Got a quote on the table? Send it in.

I'll check it as a person, not a computer, for free. A one-page report, green, amber, red, and the questions to ask your installer.
