- How your deposit and guarantee are protected: membership of a consumer code such as RECC or HIES, or the MCS-approved financial protection that firms on MCS’s new installer scheme buy for their customers
- Public liability insurance: the amount and the expiry date
- F-Gas company certification, where the work needs it
- The flow temperatures they design for (for example 35–45°C), and how they check performance (SCOP) against the design
